narrow web
Narrow Web packaging consists of printing, coating, and converting applications on webs ranging from approximately 6" to 18" wide. Substrates range from paper and films to foils and include many others. A majority of the Narrow Web Packaging applications were strictly label printing, but that has changed over the past 10 years. More and more narrow web packaging is expanding to shrink sleeves and pouches. Press manufacturers are adding flexibility to their press lines by adding stations that do more than just print. Many print lines now include coating stations, digital print stations, adhesive stations, die-cutting, etc.
