PRINTING, COATING & ADHESIVES

Digital printing offers absolute design flexibility regarding layout creation: color gradients and photo-realistic motifs are its strengths!

Web Offset printing can produce top-quality images at high speeds and is often considered the best choice for high-volume printing.

Flexography is a printing process capable of laying down a high volume of ink used for many packaging and label applications.

Due to the cost and time of engraving the metal print cylinders, Rotogravure is typically used only with very long press runs demanding high print quality.

UV Offset printing allows printers to print on a wide variety of substrates, dramatically reduce production times and provides sharp images and more vibrant color due to less dot gain.

With so many advancements made in Energy Curable PSA’s in recent years, converters should all be seriously evaluating whether to adapt this very energy efficient and affordable technology into their converting process.

PACKAGING

Narrow Web packaging consists of many printing, coating, and converting applications on web substrates up to approximately 18" wide.

Wide Web packaging is printed on a wide variety of substrates utilizing printing processes which include offset, flexo, gravure and digital. UV and Water Based Chemistry is widely used.

Wide Web packaging is printed on a wide variety of substrates utilizing printing processes which include offset, flexo, gravure and digital. UV and Water Based Chemistry is widely used to achieve superior results.

Paper remains one of the most widely used materials in the world for print and packaging. A huge variety of papers are available offering an enormous range feel and appearance properties.

UV Chemistry and Water Based chemistry has been, and continues to be, used on board stock for decades due to their offering a variety of print and coating benefits.

Corrugated packaging uses corrugated fiberboard/corrugated cardboard as its substrate.

Metal Decorating refers to printing and/or coating on metal substrates such as soda or beer cans. UV inks and UV coatings are often used for this application.

CONVERTING

Whether pressure-sensitive adhesives, laminating adhesives, or even reactivation adhesives, PRIME’s solutions are robust and perform at the highest press and converting speeds.

Cold Foil technology allows Printers and Converters the ability to apply eye-catching foils in-line.

A standard printing plate is used to apply UV curable adhesive.

UV Curable Silicone Release Coatings can be used on wide to narrow substrates and are proven to be very efficient and provide a high ROI.

PRIME provides the most advanced & reliable UV systems for UV chemistry and IR & Air Impingement drying technology for water-based chemistry used on flexible substrates for packaging and converting applications.

Prime UV-IR provides a wide selection of UV curing systems and IR-Air Impingement drying solutions that will enable Label Manufacturers to improve their ROI.

INDUSTRIAL

PRIME UV systems are uniquely designed for a wide range of metals protected with UV coatings such as steel, aluminum, copper, tinplate & galvanized steel.

Prime UV Systems to cure flooring products is certainly not new. In addition, UV technology has also become popular for residential flooring applications.

Benefits of using UV Chemistry for wood applications include product durability, chemical and stain resistance while enhancing and maximizing the quality of the wood.

UV technology is having a major impact on the coil coating market. Solvent-free UV Chemistry provides almost double the surface coverage per pound of paint while eliminating the emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) during manufacturing.

WATER BASED CHEMISTRY

Water-based chemistry can be slow to dry & difficult to apply onto high-hold-out substrates, Prime’s dryers can eliminate these drying issues.

High-performance primer coats for inkjet printers are designed to improve print quality and ink adhesion on both film and paper substrates.

Formulated to contain little to no VOCs, water-based inks offer a far safer, much more eco-sustainable solution than solvent-based inks and provide increased operator safety & improved environmental sustainability.

Prime manufactures several types of drying Chambers which use either or both Infra-Red and Air-Impingement drying technologies to very effectively and efficiently dry water-based chemistry in-line on a wide variety of printing presses whether web or sheetfed.

Prime UV-IR has been designing and manufacturing Infra-red, Air Impingement Drying Chambers and UV Curing Systems for a wide variety of industrial applications for over 30 years.
