PRIME INSTALLS UV LED SYSTEM ON A SHEET-FED PRESS

Prime UV-IR manufactured and sold a 30” Prime UV LED IP3 unit to American Slide Chart in West Chicago, IL. The one lamp system was installed in the delivery on a 2-color Heidelberg sheet-fed press. A customized bracket system was also designed and manufactured by Prime which allows the IP3 cassette to easily slide in and out. ASC prints on a plastic substrate and prior to the LED installation, they would print each color individually and then dry it before printing the second color. Now, with the installation of the Prime water-cooled UV LED system, ASC can print and cure 2 colors in a single pass while also increasing press speeds.
